Rhythm and Roles
Welcome to Rhythm and Rolls, Enigmatic Hills Productions’ theatre workshops for children and young people. Our programs provide an engaging, hands-on space for students to explore storytelling, acting, movement, public speaking, and stagecraft while developing confidence, self-expression, collaboration, leadership, and creative thinking.
We work with young people to celebrate their strengths and approach challenges with curiosity and confidence. Led by professional teaching artists trained by award-winning director and youth arts specialist Glenn Hayden, each program blends high standards with genuine care. Students receive individual support, guided skill development, and nurturing to grow focus, resilience, and expressive maturity-transferable skills that last a lifetime.
Every group flourishes in an environment that sparks creativity and confidence. Our workshops also strengthen curriculum-wide skills, including problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation. Whether designing a bespoke program for your school or selecting from our curated offerings, we deliver theatre experiences that are artistically rigorous, developmentally enriching, and a lot of fun!
Summer Performance Workshops
This summer, Enigmatic Hills Productions’ Rhythm and Rolls offers theatre workshops for children and young people of all ages in our 2026 Stage & Story Performance Program. Across every workshop, participants grow in confidence, creativity, and collaboration, culminating in performances that showcase their learning, imagination, and talents.
Bookworms: From Page to Stage

Bookworms brings children’s literature to life, transforming reading into a dynamic theatre experience. Over four weeks, students explore characters and stories through acting, improvisation, and collaborative performance. They adapt texts, rehearse scenes, and present their work in a final performance for parents and invited guests, building confidence, communication, empathy, and teamwork along the way.

Young Actors in the Play (YAP)
YAP immerses middle school students in the experience of theatre-making over four weeks, exploring acting techniques, character development, and ensemble work. Students rehearse original short plays under the guidance of professional teaching artists, building creativity, collaboration, and expressive confidence. The program culminates in a public performance celebrating their learning and achievements.
This four-week intensive brings Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar to life through performance. Students explore language, character, and key scenes through voice work, movement, and collaborative rehearsal. Reimagining roles and contemporary parallels make the play dynamic and relevant, culminating in a studio sharing that showcases their interpretive work and growing confidence with Shakespeare.
