Lakhinandan Boruah is a filmmaker, writer, and creative producer with a deep-rooted passion for independent storytelling. He began his creative journey in 2014 as a documentary filmmaker, using non-fiction cinema to explore complex social themes. After earning his Master’s in Journalism from Tezpur University, he went on to complete an M.Phil. with a focus on surveillance and cinema.
Over the years, he has contributed to three Assamese feature films, directed several short documentaries, and worked across a wide spectrum of visual storytelling — from short films and music videos to stage plays and international screenwriting projects. His advertising credits include campaigns for well-known brands like Vaseline and Kama Ayurveda.
Lakhinandan’s recent documentary on the marriage equality debate in India is set to release this year, and he’s currently involved in multiple web series and feature film projects that will be announced soon.
He founded Enigmatic Hills Productions to create more than just content — his vision is to build a thriving community of artists, where collaboration, creativity, and bold ideas can flourish without compromise.
