EHP Writer's Commission
Supporting Indian writers to develop ambitious new work for the stage.
In Brief
EHP is commissioning one new full-length play by an Indian writer for development towards future production.
The commission is an opportunity to develop a substantial piece of new theatre with EHP — through writing, dramaturgical discussion, readings, workshops and further drafts as appropriate to the project.
The commission fee is ₹50,000.
The writer retains copyright in the play. EHP's commission creates a defined period in which EHP can develop the work and consider it for production. It does not guarantee that the play will be produced.
If EHP decides to produce the play, production arrangements will be agreed separately with the writer.
